Acana Prairie Poultry Dog Food

This dry food diet is free of carbs and uses low-glycemic oats which are locally grown and help to keep the blood sugar stable.

This is a biologically appropriate approach to give your pet a diet that suits his or her natural, evolutionary needs. This recipe has a high protein content from turkey, chicken, nest laid eggs and herring oil. The WholePrey ratios ensure a nutrient-dense diet without the need to add excessive supplements.  The only supplements are Vitamins A, D3, B5, E, choline, and zinc.

Since our pet dog and cat companions are descendants of wild wolves and big cats and though they have been domesticated over the years. They continue to have features that are designed for a meat diet. Acana’s food recipes have been designed to suit these biological needs.

Chicken meal (25%),  whole green peas, fresh chicken meat (5%), fresh chicken , whole green lentils, fresh turkey meat (4%), fresh whole eggs (4%), chicken fat (4%), giblets (liver, heart, kidney) (5%),whole garbanzo beans, whole yellow peas, whole oats, whole red lentilssteel-cut oats (23%), herring oil (3%), sun-cured alfalfa, lentil fibre, dried brown kelp, fresh pumpkin, fresh butternut squash,salt, fresh blueberries, fresh cranberries, chicory root,  fresh parsnips, fresh green kale, fresh spinach, fresh carrots, fresh Bartlett pears, fresh red delicious apples, freeze-dried chicken liver (0.1%), turmeric root, milk thistle, lavender, burdock root, marshmallow root, rosehips.

Supplements: VITAMIN A, VITAMIN E, VITAMIN D3, CHOLINE CHLORIDE, VITAMIN B5, ZINC CHELATE.
